I enjoyed drinking the Amber Ale. It was a nice bitter ale that I
would have been proud to produce. These days many beers are designed to have a
huge initial impact and are consequently often overhopped. This overwhelms the
malt flavours which, to me, are an important part of a moreish beer. Amber ale
is a successful balance of flavours and is no doubt helped by the use of two of
my favourite hops; Bramling Cross and Admiral. I used Admiral as a good
bittering hop and I found Bramling Cross gave me a great combination of
bitterness and, most important, aroma. Amber  has a terrific head
retention which indicates the addition of wheat in the mash tun. Well done to
Mark.
